Military & First Responder Horsemanship
For military members and first responders, we recognize the lasting impact of service. This groundwork-based program offers a calm, supportive environment where participants connect with horses through hands-on horsemanship. These experiences foster trust, awareness, and meaningful connection while helping reduce stress, anxiety, depression, anger, isolation and the effects of PTSD.

About

Eligibility: veterans, active duty military, and first responders* of any age

Our Military & First Responder Horsemanship sessions create space to reset, reflect, and experience the grounding presence of horses. They focus on developing a safe, respectful partnership with the horse from the ground. Participants learn practical skills such as grooming, haltering, leading, and basic horse care while gaining a deeper understanding of horse behavior and communication. Through these hands-on activities, individuals build self-awareness, patience, and trust as they learn how to work alongside a horse as a willing partner.

*First responders include: law enforcement officers, paramedics, EMTs, firefighters, and nurses, doctors, and other medical personnel required to respond directly to disasters and critical situations.
